El ministro Javier Giménez, en compañía del viceministro de REDIEX, Rodrigo Maluff, mantuvieron una reunión con los Embajadores de los países miembros de la Asociación de Naciones de Asia Sudoriental (ASEAN): Tailandia, Indonesia, Malasia, Singapur y Filipinas.
El principal tema abordado fue la potencial exportación de carne vacuna, porcina y aviar a dichos países, ya que, en conjunto, estas naciones suman un mercado de alrededor de 600 millones de personas e importan aproximadamente 750 mil toneladas de estos productos.
Posterior a la reunión, el viceministro Maluff en conjunto con representantes de la Cámara Paraguaya de la Carne, realizaron la presentación del sector.
Seguidamente, el director de Atracción de Inversiones de REDIEX, Santiago Bartrina, realizó la presentación “Paraguay: País de Oportunidades” y explicó las oportunidades que ofrece nuestro país para la radicación de inversión extranjera.
AVANCES EN GASODUCTO Y ENERGÍA REGIONAL
En otro orden, el ministro Giménez, en compañía del viceministro de Minas y Energías del Ministerio de Obras Públicas, Mauricio Bejarano, mantuvo una reunión con representantes de la Secretaría de Energía, para abordar una mayor integración energética de ambos países.
Uno de los temas abordados giró en torno al gasoducto que cruzará el Chaco Paraguayo por el trazado de la Ruta Bioceánica, lo que permitirá que Argentina acceda al Brasil de forma más eficiente, desarrollando la industria en nuestro país a su paso.
Por el lado argentino, participaron de la reunión el subsecretario de Hidrocarburos Luis De Ridder; el subsecretario de Combustibles Gaseosos, Fernando Solanet; y el asesor de la Secretaría de Energía,Carlos Bastos.
Recordando días atrás, durante su disertación en la Expo Gas y Energía Paraguay, el titular del MIC habló sobre la importancia del gasoducto y señaló que éste junto con la hidrovía, que cruza por cinco países, viniendo de Brasil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina y Uruguay, más la ruta bioceánica que une el Pacífico con el Atlántico, también pasando por Paraguay, podrían ser el mayor ejemplo de integración regional de la historia.
